Therapy for complex cases,
Coaching for long term stability, and
Expert guidance for businesses
“Changing the memories that form the way we see ourselves also changes the way we view others. Therefore, our relationships, job performance, what we are willing to do or are able to resist, all move in a positive direction. The past affects the present even without our being aware of it.”
Individual Therapy and Counseling
If you have found me in your search for a quality therapist, you are in the right place. Helping people reach their goals is my first love. My areas of specialty include addressing complex trauma, improving family relationships, and issues involving addiction and/or recovery.
I am a certified EMDR therapist and use a trauma-informed approach in my work.
I am interested in serving populations that endure complex, systemic, and generational trauma including first responders, LGBTQIA, women, religious minorities, and the African American community. In my work I strive to be affirming and inclusive.
Coaching differs from therapy in that is more short term. Coaching utilizes a solution-focused and goal-directed approach. Whereas therapy mostly addresses the "internal world," coaching addresses the "external world." Coaching is for people who seek improvement and change in their lives, rather than healing from the past. Coaching asks the question, “How can we improve your lifestyle and meet your goals?” It focuses on the “process” in an effort to enhance “outcomes”. Coaching strives to make challenging goals and meet those goals by utilizing intense accountability and motivation. Coaching can be conducted on many different topics. My specialties using this approach include improving relationships, sobriety and recovery, and long term mental health stability.

Group therapy helps individuals build support amongst others with similar goals and struggles. In my group sessions, I empower members to form genuine connections and take healthy risks in a safe space. In addition to my training as a trauma specialist, I am also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and Certified Yoga Instructor (CYFI-II). In my group sessions I use a variety of modalities including writing, art, bodywork, music, and more to process individual and group issues.
Clinical Consulting Services and Training:
I am here to assist businesses and community agencies with their clinical needs. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)/Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and industry expert, I am able to provide direct or indirect supervision of unlicensed clinicians. I also provide in-person and remote mental health training aimed at reinforcing trauma-informed care company-wide.
EMDR: High-quality ancillary therapy not only compliments and enhances your program. but it makes you more marketable. EMDR is a highly sought after and effective method for treating trauma, a condition that effects the vast majority of clients in treatment for mental health and addiction. Hiring a full-time EMDR therapist is costly. Additionally, not all clients are ready to dive right in, making a full time employee obsolete. I am an EMDR certified therapist with advanced levels of training. I perform detailed trauma assessments documented in your EMR for each client I work with. I am available for contracted work and will match or offer lower than my competitors rates.
Recreation Therapy: It is my mission to partner with facilities that want the best for their clients long term mental health and sobriety. I offer group sessions to introduce clients to the concept of community and peer connection through recreation therapy. Sessions can take place on site or in the community. I also offer clinical recreation therapy services to individual clients who can benefit from using activities to address identified problem areas.
